Complaints Procedure

We take complaints seriously. If something has gone wrong, here is exactly how to tell us and what happens next.

How to complain

Send us the details using the contact form on this website, or write to Caledonian Claims, 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. Please include your name, contact details, your vehicle registration if relevant, and a clear description of what went wrong.

What happens next

  • We acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days.
  • We investigate and aim to give a full written response within 20 working days.
  • If the matter is complex and we need longer, we will tell you why and give you a revised date, which will not exceed 8 weeks.

If you are not satisfied

If your complaint concerns the legal work carried out on your claim, it should be raised with the instructed legal partner under their own complaints procedure. In Scotland, unresolved complaints about legal services can be referred to the Scottish Legal Complaints Commission. In England and Wales, they can be referred to the Legal Ombudsman.

Complaints about how we have handled your personal data can also be raised with the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Our commitment

Raising a complaint will never affect the progress of your claim. We use complaints to improve how we work.
